Ag Connections 2010 Enhancements and New Products

Feb 2, 2010

  •   Land.db

    Land.db 10. 0

The 10.0 version will introduce the “Manage Product Information” feature. The user will be able to manage active ingredient lbs / acre and monitor the active ingredient load on the applied products tab. As you make applications with products that have the same active ingredient, a running total, progress bar as well as percentage of active limit, will be displayed for active ingredient monitoring. Keeping our users aware of active ingredient loads as they apply products is critical to proper stewardship management of crop protection products.
Worker Protection Standards in Land.db 10.0 will automatically pull from the product masterlist into Work Orders, per product, when printed.
REI and PHI will automatically pull in per product and per crop-subcrop.  The user will be able to edit REI / PHI values and be able to return to default values if they choose.

  •

  • AgCmobile

    AgCmobile

A brand new product that will allow users with an Iphone or smartphone to access their database online and create application records and work orders. AgC mobile will send the record to Land EC to be imported into Land.db. AgC mobile can also be used through a computer browser to enter data, creating easy to use data entry options.

  •

  • AgCscout

    AgCscout

A brand new product operating on Windows Mobile, AgC Scout will be launched in the Florida Citrus market in 2010 followed by cotton and other crops currently managed by our users. This product has been developed so that a specific crop profile can be created to assist the scout in quickly collecting field information and electronically submit their reports.

The scout can log location sites, log the pests and submit the information through wireless or cell signal to the office through a scouting server. Multiple scouts can work in the same field and data will be compiled into field level reports. AgC Scout, if synchronized with Land.db will automatically know the field it is in but can also operate as a standalone without Land.db.

  • Farm by Phone

    Farm by Phone Affiliate

The Ag Connections internal Farm by Phone online call management and data entry system will be available for those wanting to manage called or faxed in application records. This server based system will be an excellent addition for large growers, consultants, service providers and retailers that are currently using Land.db.

  • Field to Market

    Keystone Field to Market

Ag Connections has begun the integration steps to the Keystone Field to Market algorithms for a late summer release. These data points will be used to help Land.db users create “Keystone Fieldprints” and help develop field level assessments for growers to measure their long term environmental sustainability. As food processors and the FSA Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) need this type of documentation, these new features will help pull it together.

  • Adcon Telemetry

    Adcon Telemetry

Ag Connections has begun the integration steps to bring Adcon Telemetry information into to the Ag Connections record-keeping systems.
Adcon Integration to Application Records: Adcon weather station data will be synchronized with the start and end time of an application record within the Ag Connections record-keeping systems.
The applicator using Land.db, AgC Mobile, Hand.db or the GS2, simply collect the start time and the end time of the application. Once Land.db has the application record, the weather data is pulled from the Adcon addVantage Pro server software in summary form or down to 15 minute weather data intervals. This automation process will help speed up accuracy with reliable farm specific environmental information and simplify data entry for our customers.
Adcon Integration for Irrigation Documentation: Adcon telemetry soil moisture sensors will help estimate crop water needs and serve as documentation for irrigation events. Along with the soil moisture sensor, a precipitation gauge will document rain and irrigation events. These water events will become applications in the grower’s production records.
