Burnette Lowe Accounting
Burnette Lowe began her career with Ag Connections in 2000 as a part-time employee. The company grew, and within a couple of years she was working full time. Her primary responsibility is to facilitate facilitating the Sales, Support and R&D processes by keeping Ag Connections’ administrative clockwork running smoothly in the background. Her responsibilities include monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and financial information for budgets. She performs monthly bank reconciliations of accounts, prepares and deposits gross receipts, generates quarterly sales tax returns, performs all billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable. She processes the payroll requirements and general ledger account reconciliation monthly. She also maintains the employee files, equipment inventory and company insurance.
Burnette attended Murray State University and has taken selected courses throughout the years. She previously worked for Time Warner cable in management which has been a valuable asset with her job responsibilities at Ag Connections.
Burnette has seen many positive changes with the company since she began working here. She says it is very rewarding to work for a company that is progressive in seeking a better and more productive way to provide state-of-the-art technology to consumers. Her biggest challenge: to ensure that all duties are completed in an accurate and timely basis.

Jeff Peake Support Specialist

Jeff Peake has been a Customer Support Specialist since joining Ag Connections in 2007. He is responsible for resolving client concerns and, due to that, handles a wide variety of issues. He also works extensively with Ag Connections’ Customer Relationship Management system.
Jeff graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Computer Information Systems emphasis. While at the University of Louisville, Jeff was named the Outstanding Graduate in Computer Information Systems. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration from Murray State University.
Having grown up on his family’s farm in central Kentucky, Jeff has a wide variety of agriculture experiences, ranging from livestock care to crop management. Jeff also has previous experience with the traceability aspect of agriculture, having played a key role in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation at a food manufacturer.

Joe Ben Bogle Support Specialist

Joe Ben Bogle has been a part of the Ag Connections team since 2004. He currently supervises the Client Support Department: the team responsible for resolving client issues. Ag Connections’ customer base includes clients whose technical skills range from highly experienced to first-time users. Because of this, the support team’s activities are highly varied, and require a high level of interaction between all team members. As Support Manager, Joe Ben has implemented a Customer Relationship Management system and a Remote Support system, which have been key components in developing customer analytics and resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner.
Joe Ben graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness (‘03) and a Master of Business Administration (‘04). While at Murray State, he was a Presidential Scholar, a graduate of the Honors Program, a Study Abroad participant, and Outstanding Senior in Agribusiness. Prior to college, he was involved in his family’s farming operation, and was responsible for several aspects of its day-to-day operation as well as his own side ventures.
Joe Ben’s previous work experience includes internships with the University of Kentucky Extension Service and Pioneer Hi-Bred International (a DuPont company). While at Pioneer, he supervised a network of research plots across 5 states, working unsupervised to gather research data.

John Galloway Support Specialist

John Galloway has been a Customer Support Specialist at Ag Connections since joining the company in 2008. He is responsible for handling client support concerns including, but not limited to, the Land.db software suite.
John has several years’ experience in Software and Technical Support, having worked for the Help Desk at Murray State University, where he was responsible for a large client base of students, faculty and staff. He has experience with computer hardware repair and supporting Microsoft Windows, Mac OSX, as well as various RedHat and Debian Linux Distributions. John is currently pursuing a degree in the field of Engineering Physics with a minor in Mathematics at Murray State University.

Kody Myers Support Specialist

Kody Myers has been a Customer Support Specialist since joining the Ag Connections team in October 2009. He is responsible for resolving customer issues related to the Land.db and Hand.db software systems, the Farm-By-Phone webservice, and general computer hardware and software problems.
Kody has been developing and refining his technical expertise since early childhood. He has been given the privilege of exercising these skills in a technical support capacity for several organizations throughout his career. He most recently served as a Field Service Technician for NCR Corporation, where he installed and repaired computer register systems for retailers such as Wal-Mart and Lowe’s, as well as ATM units for various banking institutions.
Kody is currently working toward finishing his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, with a minor emphasis in Telecommunications System Management at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. He looks forward to the opportunity to enhance his contributions toward the goal of making Ag Connections the leading software provider in the agricultural industry.

Miranda Robinson Support Specialist

Miranda Robinson has been a part of the Farm By Phone staff at Ag Connections since April of 2008. Recently, Miranda relocated to Ag Connections’ new Farm By Phone office in the Western Kentucky’s Regional Business & Innovations Center on Murray State University’s campus. There, she supervises a team of 3 Farm By Phone specialists. She oversees all Farm By Phone data entry, and ensures the appropriate and timely handling of clients’ concerns. Miranda also handles the monthly billing process for all Farm By Phone growers.
Miranda graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a Spanish minor in December of 2006. She immediately started pursuing a Master of Science in Agriculture and is working on her thesis. In the Spring of 2007, Miranda was awarded Outstanding Graduate Student.
Miranda’s background is centered on livestock, which gives her a different perspective that is very valuable for Ag Connections. Her knowledge and understanding of the importance of recordkeeping was developed while owning and operating a livestock auction business, and her dedication to recordkeeping in that field carries over to her career at Ag Connections. Miranda’s past experience also included establishing strong customer relations; this allows her to communicate easily and effectively with our growers.

Ross Hunt Support Specialist

Ross Hunt has been a Customer Support Specialist at Ag Connections since June of 2010. He is responsible supporting the Ag Connections software suite along with providing general hardware and software service for clients.
Ross graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Sciences in Telecommunications Systems Management (TSM, 2010), with two specialized areas in Wireless Technologies and Security as well as a background in Business Administration and Business Management. He has several years’ experience in Software and Technical Support and through this has gained extensive knowledge of Microsoft Products, Mac OSX, and several Linux distributions.

Stacey Arnett Support Specialist

Stacey Arnett has been a key member of the Ag Connections team since October 2006. As a member of the Support Team, she helps coordinate logistics at Ag Connections, including shipping and receiving, helping customers, and managing the customer database. Few employees can claim to be in greater contact with Ag Connections’ customers and affiliates on a daily basis than her. Stacey graduated from Murray State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Systems Technology.
Having grown up a few miles from Ag Connections, Stacey is familiar with the area and is happy to work so close to her roots. She lived on a family farm that produced tobacco, soybeans, corn and wheat. Her experiences in the agricultural lifestyle help her relate to the Ag Connections customer base.
