Andres Ferreyra, Ph.D. - Manager of Special Projects

Born in Argentina, Andres has over 20 years of experience in technology R&D in the private sector and academia.

Andres is an Electric /Electronic Engineer. He worked several years developing industrial instrumentation computers and weather satellite image processing systems as managing partner in Dexar, a company he co-owned. He later completed an MS in Agronomy / Agrometeorology and a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering (University of Florida) with a Minor in Computer Science.

Andres joined Ag Connections in 2003, first as a consultant, prototyping various spatial data collection tools; and full-time since 2004, leading development of telemetry integration, remote data entry, and irrigation-related projects, as well as Ag Connections’ work in AgGateway, AEF, and other standards groups. Andres’ research interests include using mathematical techniques to develop user-friendly tools to help growers solve problems while keeping the “dirty work” of handling data hidden from view. In 2014 Andres was awarded AgGateway’s Ron Storms Leadership Award.

Jeff Peake - Product Lead

Jeff Peake joined the Ag Connections team in August 2007. Currently he serves as the Western Business Manager and Key Account Manager. In these roles, he leads the implementation of the AgriEdge program and works with large corporate growers.

Jeff graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Computer Information Systems emphasis. While at the University of Louisville, Jeff was named the Outstanding Graduate in Computer Information Systems. Jeff completed his Master of Business Administration from Murray State University in 2010.

Having grown up on his family’s farm in central Kentucky, Jeff has a wide variety of agriculture experiences, ranging from livestock care to crop management. Jeff also has previous experience with the traceability aspect of agriculture, having played a key role in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation at a food manufacturer.
